Last week, Caritas Nigeria, represented by our team from our Headquarters and our Enugu State office, had a partnership-strengthening meeting with stakeholders working to reduce new HIV infections and provide quality care, treatment, and support services to infected and affected individuals in Enugu State.
The stakeholder engagement forum explored avenues for improving the synergy among partners in the implementation of The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC-funded Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solutions (ACCESS) project, particularly among high-risk populations in the State.
In attendance were the Enugu State Government represented by Martin Mgbor, the Head of Department (HOD) of the Enugu State Action Committee on HIV/AIDS (ENSACA), and Dr. Sunday Christopher Okafor, the State AIDS Program Coordinator (SAPC), as well as representatives of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS), and the Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).
