In line with the efforts of the government of Nigeria to tackle the root causes of human trafficking and irregular migration, Caritas Nigeria, under the UNHCR-supported "Anti-Human Trafficking Activities in Mixed Movements" project has implemented in Etsako West of  Edo, and  Adagom 1 Resettlement Camp in Ogoja Cross River States new preventive strategies and reiterated the role of community members and gatekeepers in protecting vulnerable persons, integrating survivors, and prosecuting offenders. This was achieved in a series of town hall meetings.
The insights and proposed actions demonstrate our commitment to reducing trafficking incidents and protecting vulnerable members of society through continuous community involvement and engagement with relevant authorities.
