Yesterday, October 10, our staff implementing the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO II project 2023), funded by Germany Diplo through Caritas_web joined the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) of Maiduguri Diocese, other humanitarian actors, and some of our project community leaders to commemorate World Mental Health Day in Pulka Gwoza local government area of Borno State celebrated this year under the theme "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right", our team during the event, fostered community dialogue provided clarifications regarding mental health and advocated for support to those experiencing mental health issues.
The annual event serves as a reminder to raise awareness, advance understanding, and encourage actions that will protect and advance everyone's right to sound mental health.
