The Deputy Executive Secretary of Caritas Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Peter Babangida Audu, recently went on a working visit to Abia State where we are currently implementing the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC-funded ACCESS project.
Aimed at familiarizing ourselves with the structures, systems, and processes of Caritas Nigeria and our partnership with stakeholders in the state, the visit addressed operational challenges and put forward ways of strengthening our processes.
While in Abia State, Fr. Audu also paid a courtesy visit to the Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Most Rev. Michael Kalu Ukpong, Caritas Nigeria-supported HIV service delivery facilities, and the JDPC Umuahia office. He also had one-on-one interaction with each member of our team in the state.
