Presentation of prizes

Caritas Nigeria Protection Team in Cross River State collaborated with Ogoja Local Government to celebrate yet again, in a most remarkable way, the 2022 Children’s Day.

The event was held at Ogoja Stadium and had the children beautifully display their talents in match past and cultural dances at the end of which trophies were presented by Caritas Nigeria to the overall best Primary and Secondary schools namely Police Children Academy Ogoja and  Government Technical College Ogoja respectively.  All relevant stakeholders were in attendance to witness the occasion.

Games competition were also organised for refugee children across the three settlements in Ogoja namely Adagom 1, Adagom 3 and Ukende.

The Protection Assistance to Cameroonian Refugees project is funded by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and is aimed catering for children crisis in Ogoja created by the political crisis in Cameroun which caused thousands of Camerounian families to flee thier homes to Nigeria.
