Michika LGA, Adamawa State, North East, Nigeria. Messages delivered in the targeted community included the value of ground water, ground water management, hand washing, improved sanitation, and adherence to good hygiene practices.

The event ended with the distribution of washing soap and other related items to participants but with keen interest on nursing mothers to help caution the transmission of of diseases such as Cholera, Hepatitis, Diarrhea, Typhoid and Polio to their children.

The World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of directing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
