CSN priests and some staff of Caritas Nigeria with the Orange the World campaign banner

The 16 days of activism to commemorate the International Day for Gender Based Violence against women and girls ended successfully on Thursday 10th December 2020 with a holy mass celebration at St. Gabriel’s Chaplaincy of Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria Abuja.

In a brief pep talk that followed, Caritas Nigeria Gender Focal person, Mr Charles Aneni sensitized members of the worshiping community on gender-based violence and emphasized the need for victims to always speak up so as to avoid future occurrences. He called on the government at all levels to establish a quick response unit to address cases of gender based violence in the society.

A group photograph was taken with the priests who celebrated the holy mass and some staff of Caritas Nigeria holding the campaign banner with the inscription ‘’ Orange to the world’.
