By the mandate of the Universal Church, Caritas is “the outreach of the Church to those in need”. This encapsulates all the interventions carried out across the globe by different sub-entities under this global brand. 

Caritas Nigeria exercises this mandate by channeling her interventions, projects and activities around seven core thematic areas.  

Two additional thematic areas, Education and Gender though silent are cross-cutting and streamlined into all the other thematic areas making the organization’s programs more robust and fit in all respects.
