Caritas Nigeria, Abia State Ministry of Health Collaborate on Effective Tuberculosis Screening Program in Umunneochi LGA

In a bid to combat tuberculosis among adults and children, Caritas Nigeria, in collaboration with the Abia State Ministry of Health through the support of Ihv Nigeria, has initiated a life-saving program called the “Tuberculosis Testing Week”. The event occurred at the Lokpa Cattle Market in Lukwesi, within the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

Nurturing Mental Wellness in the Workplace

A one-day session on "Mind Matters: Nurturing Mental Wellness in the Workplace" was held recently to improve the productivity of the Caritas Nigeria staff working on the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC-funded Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solutions (ACCESS) project in Enugu State.

On the 13th of  March 2024, Umuoshi Avutu community in Obowo local government area of Imo State, Caritas Nigeria in partnership with Rosita Unique Care Foundation (RUCF), trained 35 caregivers and case managers of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in the step-by-step production of soya bean powder.

A delegation of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) led by the Secretary-General, Rev. Fr. Zacharia Samjumi on the 13th of March 2024, paid a courtesy call to the British Deputy High Commissioner in Abuja, at Gill Lever1, to introduce the Director of the National Catholic Service Centre (NCSC) and discuss matters of mutual interest between the Catholic Church in Nigeria and the British government.
