In a bid to combat tuberculosis among adults and children, Caritas Nigeria, in collaboration with the Abia State Ministry of Health through the support of Ihv Nigeria, has initiated a life-saving program called the “Tuberculosis Testing Week”. The event occurred at the Lokpa Cattle Market in Lukwesi, within the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

One of our key areas of intervention, Anti-Human Trafficking, and Irregular Migration, has constantly drawn the interest of actors and stakeholders due to the alarming surge in the cases of irregular migration and human exploitation all over the world. Over the years, economic insecurity has been identified as one of the leading causes of irregular migration; with more people leaving their homes through illegal routes amid attendant hazards, nations have continued to witness a devastating rise in cases of trafficking in persons.

Free Farming Supplies Given to Ekiti Farmers

In Ekiti State, Caritas Nigeria, in collaboration with Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, flagged off the distribution of agricultural inputs to smallholder farmers in Ise-Orum Ekiti LGA of Ekiti State. Over 88 farmers benefitted from a prior capacity strengthening in climate-smart agriculture and received knapsack sprayed, cowpea, and maize to enhance their farming processes and overall productivity.
