Caritas Nigeria, Abia State Ministry of Health Collaborate on Effective Tuberculosis Screening Program in Umunneochi LGA

In a bid to combat tuberculosis among adults and children, Caritas Nigeria, in collaboration with the Abia State Ministry of Health through the support of Ihv Nigeria, has initiated a life-saving program called the “Tuberculosis Testing Week”. The event occurred at the Lokpa Cattle Market in Lukwesi, within the Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

PEPFAR-funded ACCESS Project trains SIAs on Advanced HIV Disease management

On Wednesday, 23rd August 2023 the Caritas Nigeria team in Enugu state implemented the Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solutions (ACCESS) Project, funded by The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through CDC held a one-day intensive training for 24 Strategic Information Assistants (SIAs) on Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) on the algorithm for CD4 testing and how to manage clients with meningitis.
